OUR MISSION. The objective of Space Coast HOT!!! is to inform the public about what is happening in the Brevard social scene -- nightlife, special events, local sports, the beach and so forth. In regard to bars and clubs, we seek to cover the hottest places where younger adults are having the most fun, while also maintaining a geographic balance in our coverage. We are principally interested in places with live music and/or a DJ, space for dancing, and a young (20s/30s) crowd. ASKING PERMISSION. We take photos inside bars and clubs with the prior consent of the establishments' management. Our photographer routinely identifies himself to patrons and asks permission before taking photos. (Occasional exceptions may occur in the case of photos of the entire dance floor, for example, or when people are dancing on stage.) If you don't want your picture taken, just tell us. No problem! NO PERSONAL INFO. Our pictures generally do not include captions and we do not ask for names or other information when we are taking pictures for photo galleries. (Persons participating in other features on our website, such as Hottie of the Week, may be requested to voluntarily provide basic information such as name, hometown, etc.) OUR PHOTOGRAPHERS. Paul Kantz is the only full-time photographer for Space Coast Hot. We also use photographs and other content supplied by authorized independent contributors. At the present time, George Hamilton is our only additional contributor of photographs. (We may seek to add more contributors in the near future and will post additional information at that time.) Please note: If anyone else takes your picture, they are not from Space Coast Hot. We recommend that you always ask for a business card or other identification if someone wants to take your picture at a club. Legitimate photographers will always carry these. Space Coast Hot is not responsible for the actions of photographers not associated with our website. CHANGE YOUR MIND? If we have posted a photo of you, and you decide that you do not want your photo on our site, just contact us and ask us to remove the photo. It's no problem. We can do this easily. Please identify the photo gallery (location and date) and the number of the photo (click on the photo and you will see a number, generally something like this: DSC_1234.) We want Space Coast Hot to be a fun place where people can feel like celebrities -- we are not trying to embarrass anyone or make them feel bad! COPYING OUR PHOTOS. You are free to download copies of our photos for personal (non-commercial) use, including posting them on your mySpace or Facebook page. Instructions for downloading a photo may be found directly above the first photo on each photo gallery page. We request that you leave our logo intact when you use our photos. PHOTO RELEASES. Sometimes we are asked why we don't get people to sign photo release forms. The answer is that photo releases are required only for "commercial use" of a photo (for example, if we wanted to use your picture in an advertisement). Photo releases are not required for "editorial use" of a photo (for example, in our photo galleries). DECENCY. Space Coast HOT!!! is not a porn site. We do not publish images containing nudity. In the cases of photos of events such as bikini contests or wet t-shirt contests, we will use our best editorial judgment in the selection of photos. In these cases, we seek to provide entertaining photos that accurately portray an event, while also respecting standards of decency. (If a photo would be too risque for the Sports illustrated swimsuit edition, you won't see it on our site, either. We apologize to those of you whom this disappoints :) In addition, we recently have decided to stop posting photos in which people are giving us the finger. So stop it! :) HOW LONG DO WE KEEP 'EM? In general we will keep photo galleries on our site for six months and then delete them. QUESTIONS? If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions in regard to our photo policies or our site in general, please contact us. Thank you :)
